Your guide
Eligible people with a current Defence Service Homes loan can apply for assistance when suffering financial hardship. The loan repayments can be reduced in some circumstances.
Instalment relief involves a reduction in the monthly instalment of the Defence Service Homes loan for a specified period based on your circumstances, and has the effect of extending the term over which your loan will be repaid. Any arrears are usually capitalised.
All relevant questions on the Application for Widow/widower Advance; Essential Repair Advance; Instalment Relief should be answered and the form must be signed. Incomplete answers may delay processing of your application.
